Atlantic City Goes 'On The Road' In 2015!

In an effort to promote the positive AC stories in 2015, the Atlantic City Alliance (ACA) is taking AC on the road to the New York Times Travel Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City January 23-25. The goal is to generate positive press and to encourage travel in 2015.

The “Do AC” dream team includes representatives from the casinos, non-casino hotels and non-gaming attractions, including Steel Pier.  Miss America 2015 Kyra Kazantsev is the host of the weekend.

The New York Times Travel Show is the largest consumer travel show in North America and draws 24,000 New Yorkers and top travel media from around the U.S. The show includes educational seminars, demonstrations and live entertainment.

The Atlantic City Alliance is among the few U.S. destinations to forge a multi-platform partnership with the NY Times Travel Show. Here’s what the three-day promotional blitz will include:

·         AC is the only destination to have the official media event for more than 100 credentialed travel media on Friday January 23 at 5 p.m.

·         Atlantic City will take over the largest footprint of all U.S. destinations on the Jacob Javits Center floor (30’ X 30’ of space) to sell AC to 24,000 potential travelers. (Last year, the Atlantic City Alliance’s activation was named the “Most Interactive Activation” by the organizers of the New York Times Travel Show).

·         Miss America 2015 will be our host and appear in the spotlight at the “Meet the Expert” station on Saturday, January 24th.

·         AC experts will appear on panels to answer questions about AC’s future and to sell the destination throughout the weekend.

·         Do AC promotion by the New York Times Travel Show in newspaper advertising and social media and on-site.

“It is critically important to tell the media and potential visitors that Atlantic City has a tremendous amount of positive news and fun ahead in 2015 explained ACA Executive Director Jeff Guaracino. “We cannot let the negative publicity on last year’s closed casinos create the wrong visitor perception.”

Atlantic City has plenty of big news in the beachside resort for 2015, including the opening of a Bass Pro megastore and the $126 million Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, enhancements to AC’s historic Boardwalk, the beach, the Steel Pier, nightlife, exciting retail updates, major building projects, new dining, an exciting slate of entertainment and more.
