Good Morning America To 'Do AC' Wed., 5/14

The Atlantic City Alliance invites you to join in as Good Morning America broadcasts LIVE from Atlantic City on Wednesday, May 14. All are welcome to come out to the Boardwalk between Resorts Casino Hotel and Steel Pier beginning at 6:30 a.m. The show airs from 7 to 9 a.m.

Meteorologist Ginger Zee will broadcast four live weather segments from Atlantic City on the Boardwalk, beach and Steel Pier between North Carolina and Pennsylvania Avenues. She will preview Atlantic City’s summer-long, celebration of the world’s most famous Boardwalk by showcasing some of the events and entertainment that will be available to Atlantic City visitors.

With nightly musical acts, morning fitness classes and the 3D sound and light show on Boardwalk Hall there will be free entertainment along the Atlantic City Boardwalk all summer long. Plus the big free events like the DO AC Sand Sculpting World Cup (June 19-July 6), 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, Blake Shelton’s free beach concert (July 31), the Atlantic City Airshow (August 13) and the DO AC Pro Beach Volleyball Invitational (September 5-7) offer a full slate of varied and extraordinary free entertainment from the first day of summer through Labor Day.

The Good Morning America broadcast will go on rain or shine. You are welcome to bring signs to show your AC pride, but please leave your beach chairs and coolers at home. Feel free to share this information with anyone that might be interested in attending.

About Dan Cirucci

He's Dan Cirucci, the founder and editor-in chief of the Dan Cirucci Blog, Matt Rooney's sidekick on Save Jersey's videocasts and one of the most widely honored public relations professionals in his field. A native of Camden NJ, Cirucci is a former President of the Philadelphia chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. Cirucci served as Associate Executive Director of the Philadelphia Bar Association for nearly 30 years. He served as Chair of Penn State University's Professional Advisory Board for the Corporate Communication major at Penn State Abington and on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Judicial Selection Commission.

He received his MA degree from Rowan University and his BA from Villanova University. He has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rowan's public relations program and received the E. A. "Wally" Richter Leadership Award, the highest honor from the National Association of Bar Executives' Communications Section. He has also been honored by numerous other local, state and national groups.

In his hometown of Camden, Cirucci taught fifth grade at the Ulysses Wiggins Elementary School named for the founder of the Camden NAACP. There he was one of the first teachers in the country to teach African-American history to inner city students. He later served as editor of a local weekly newspaper, as Assistant to the Township Manager of Cherry Hill Township and as Associate Director of Communications at the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Cirucci's passions include politics, the popular culture, books and authors, art, communication, music, theatre, movies, dining and travel.
