Suspect Arrested In Philly Child Abduction Case

From the Philadelphia Police Department's Philly Police Blog:
"On July 19, 2012, Carlos Figueroa-Fagot, the suspect in the attempted abduction of a 10 year-old girlwas arrested by members of the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit. The crime was caught on surveillance video which was released on July 18 and got widespread attention in our community via traditional and social media outlets. This disturbing video moved the community to action. Community outcry pressured Figueroa-Fagot to turn himself in to police.

"This is a another shining example of the success we can have when citizens partner with the Police Department to jointly rid our streets of crime. There are endless opportunities for a safer city when Philadelphians stand-up and say “we will not tolerate this on our streets.” We, both as the Police Department and as your fellow citizens, thank you sincerely and hope that the partnership between the Police Department and the citizens we serve will build momentum with this important arrest."

Carlos Figueroa-Fagot, 33 years-of-age from the 3000 block of North 8th Street
