Video - Obama In '04: Gay Marriage Not 'Civil Right'

President Obama has clearly signaled a change in his position in a calculated move to rouse his base of support, raise campaign cash and re-energize wavering liberal voters, young votes and the LGBT community. Please note that within the first few minutes after Obama announced "support" for gay marriage his campaign raised more than a million dollars. But please alas not that Obama still hedged. He still left himself wiggle room. Note what the president said today. He says he respects and is upholding the right of the states to carve out their own positions on gay marriage. Laws regarding marriage have always been in the purview of the states. Right now, 44 states ban gay marriage. The Tenth Amendment to the U. S. Cosntitution says: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." That is the law of the land.

At least he's for equal rights, unlike Romney. Mitt wants to discriminate. You can't spin it any other way. Mitt is in favor of discrimination.
