Legislators React To Christie Cabinet Changes

New Jersey State Senator Jennifer Beck, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding the nomination of Jeffery Chiesa as the next Attorney General of the State of New Jersey:
“Both as an attorney in private practice, a federal prosecutor and as the Governor’s Counsel Jeff Chiesa has discharged his duties equitably and with integrity. He is highly qualified to lead the Department of Law and Public Safety as the next Attorney General of the State of New Jersey.”

New Jersey State Senator Kevin O’Toole, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding the nomination of Attorney General Paula Dow to the Superior Court:
“General Dow has discharged her duties well as a federal prosecutor, Essex County prosecutor and State Attorney General. I have no doubt that she will be a credit to the Superior Court bench.
“She has proved that she is fair and equitable and has the necessary temperament to join the bench. I hope that when this eminently qualified nominee is confirmed, she will begin the process of clearing the 2 year logjam that currently exists in Essex County.”
