Obama Fudges Story Of Teacher's Plight

President Obama was caught fibbing again yesterday at his news conference.
Here's what Obama said:
“I had a chance to meet a young man named Robert Baroz. He’s got a master’s degree. He’s got an outstanding track record of helping his students make huge gains in reading and writing. In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts. Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?”
Here's the truth: Obama never actually met Baroz and  Baroz is still happily employed.
Baroz was at a White House event (a September news conference on the president's jobs bill) but Baroz and the president never met. And, while Baroz came close to being laid-off from his teaching job more than once, he was never actually let go.
Here's what probably happened: The president's crack communications team gave him this story based on their discussions with Baroz. They either fudged the story or didn't pay very close attention to the facts (or both) and then told the president to run with it at his news conference yesterday.
The result? More careless fibbing. More of the same from Obamaville.
