Jobless Rate Remains High, Long Term Jobless Bleak

The latest figures, just out today show that the jobless rate remains above nine percent -- 9.1% to be exact. And the economy continues to slag.
The situation for the long-term unemployed is nothing less thank dire.
The average duration of joblessness ticked up to a new record of 40.5 weeks. The number of those out of work for more than 20 weeks rose 208,000 to 6.24 million.
The manufacturing sector shed another 13,000 jobs.
Bottom line: Obamanomics has failed.
