If It's Spring, Hurry Back To The Boathouse

The view from The Boathouse in Central Park.
The Boathouse in Central Park is still our favorite places to dine as we watch the water shimmering in the sun. And you never know who's going to show up to enjoy this marvelous spot. We've seen notables such as Kevin Bacon and the artist, Christo at The Boathouse. But go for the food and the seductive ambience, and hope for the celebrities.
Yesterday, our party of four  enjoyed the most glorious eggs benedict one can imagine as well as chicken paillard  and steak and eggs (and the steak was filet mignon).
BTW: The Boathouse is open to the sun and the lake though you're still under cover in a stately enclosure featuring grand columns and a classic, breezy atmosphere. If there is a better combination of cuisine and view in Manhattan, we cannot imagine where it is.
Indeed, this is "alfresco" dining at its finest!
