Chase Bank: No Christmas Trees Here!

The Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram is reporting that a Chase branch bank in Southlake has ordered a nine-foot decorated Christmas tree removed from its lobby.
The newspaper says the directive came in the form of an e-mail from JP Morgan Chase saying that the tree had to be removed "because some people were offended by it."
A Chase spokesperson says the company's policy is to use "only decorations supplied by the company."
The tree was a gift to the bank from a local man who prepares and decorates the trees as a labor of love. The tree went up the Monday before Thanksgiving but was removed this past Tuesday.
Chase says it only wants decorations that "everyone is comfortable with regardless of how they celebrate the season."
The newspaper article says that according to Advertising Age, 91 percent of all Americans celebrate Christmas.
I suppose that doesn't mean very much to Chase.
Shame on JP Morgan Chase for this cowardly, disgraceful and grossly insensitive behavior.
Message to Chase: Don't mess with Texas. Don't mess with Christmas. And, above all, do not mess with Christmas in Texas!
