The Simpsons are Catholic.
That's right -- Homer and the gang are all Catholics.
And this is legit. because the word has been decreed by the Vatican's official newapaper -- the voice of the Catholic Church worldwide. Here's what the newspaper said:
"Few people know it, and he does everything to hide it. But it's true: Homer J. Simpson is Catholic. . . . The family recites prayers together before meals and, in its own way, believes in heaven."
Osservatore Romano even encourages parents to let their children watch the show.
The newspaper refers to a study by a Jesuit priest that concludes that The Simpsons is "among the few TV programmes for kids in which Christian faith, religion and questions about God are recurrent themes".
