Visions Of Pittsburgh: Architecture

From a prison-like structure with an overhead walkway reminiscnet of Venice's Bridge of Sighs to a dazzling grand hotel lobby to highly-ornamented cathedrals of commerce to postmodern icons, Pittsburgh is a city of architectural delights.
At every turn there is something new to discover.
Over the weekend we devised our own architectural walking tour of the downtown area. This steel city that sits neatly at the convergence of three rivers provided us with memorable images that we've decided to share with you.
From top, the Union Trust Building, building at the foot of Andy Warhol Bridge, entranceway to the old Penn Station, PPG Place, bridge between Allegheny County Building and Court of Common Pleas, Allegheny County Building, Omni William Penn Hotel and the rotunda of the Union Trust Building.
These are just a few of the wonderful sights that we encountered. Enjoy!
