Craig Ferguson jokingly declared himself the "King of Late Night" Friday night and the Scot comedian just might become just that if the Fire David Letterman crusade catches hold and produces the result it demands. . . .
FireDavidLetterman.com has been set up to hold David Letterman "accountable for his disgraceful statements," according to the site's Mission Statement. The site includes a sample protest/boycott letter and a list of "Late Show with David Letterman" advertising sponsors' to which one can write. The site also calls upon the outraged to write, e-mail, or call their local CBS affiliate or local sponsor of the show to let them know they disapprove or will boycott their station/product until David Letterman's show is removed from the station's lineup. The site even lists six ways to make FireDavidLetterman.com viral. But under the title "Fire David Letterman" is the announcement of a rally to be held on Tuesday, June 16, at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City (where "Late Show with David Letterman") is recorded. David Letterman seems to have touched a nerve with his inappropriate joke told Monday night. Not one to ever let a Sarah Palin moment go un-joked about, Letterman included in his Top 10 List that night ("Top Ten Highlights of Sarah Palin's Trip to New York") that Palin had went to Bloomingdale's to "update her 'slutty flight attendant' look." After some criticism leveled for the sexist joke, most detractors centered on the 'awkward' joke where he said that Sarah Palin's daughter had been "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez (New York Yankees baseball player) in the seventh inning.

Fire the bas$#@!. He has been taking cheap shots at people for years for a laugh. It shows how low our society has stooped for advertisers to pay for time for such a jerk. I for one won't miss him for a minute. Send him home to his wife and kid where he belongs. Maybe he can get a job with Howard Stern.
A real fight with Letterman will include a boycott of his show and the commercial products as well. I would like to see a list of these companies and the contact numbers for their executives.
Anyone who agrees could respond where corporate America listens.

I would be delighted to see Craig on this spot. We cannot bear to watch The Tonight Show with Jay not there...and we never wanted a part of Letterman's show. I am writing to the products that pay for this show. He became an unwed father in his 50s...so he should not even pretend to have made this about the older girl...there is postively not a speck of truth that he did not mean the 14 year old...she was the only one at the stadium..He seems to have such hatred as the governor...implying in his explanation that he would like to have her and her husband on the show,,,or ...she could leave her husband home...I think he has a THING for her and is bitter because he is caught with a woman he would not marry for 23 years, only doing so when their child was 5 years old... I am not a supporter of the governor but I respect her as a lady and governor and resent Letterman's continued abuse of her.
What a lame attempt for Dan Cirucci to get attention. There just jokes that are made by lots of comedians. Should we fire them all? Get over it. Go back and find something worthwhile to bitch about.
I think Craig Ferguson would be great to replace Letterman. I think he is far and away the better comedian and talk show host. I have never cared for Letterman's style of "comedy" as he calls it. The past few years he has insulted his guests, especially Richard Simmons,the sweet little exercise guy and constantly made vulgar and inappropriate so called jokes and put-downs about anyone who has a different view of things than he does. He has crossed the point of no return as far as I am concerned. I will not miss him a bit if he is fired.
I don't consider a 14 year old girl a woman. Letterman knew the 14 year old daughter was at the ball game and not the now 19 year old.
How many hollywood girls have had abortions and babies out of wedlock? I don't hear anyone on the far-left calling them a sluts or bitches. Boys (Yound men) can fast talk a lot of girls into giving in to their insistant pleading for foreplay which winds up going to far and neither are aware of how easy it is to get pregnant. even though parents have told them how easy it is. They just don't seem to be able to control their feelings at the time.

Speaking of anti-Semitism, it's Jerry Falwell and other fundy leaders who've gleefully predicted that in the future EVERY nation will be against Israel (an international first?) and that TWO-THIRDS of all Jews will be killed, right?
Wrong! It's the ancient Hebrew prophet Zechariah who predicted all this in the 13th and 14th chapters of his book! The last prophet, Malachi, explains the reason for this future Holocaust that'll outdo even Hitler's by stating that "Judah hath dealt treacherously" and "the Lord will cut off the man that doeth this" and asks "Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother?"
Haven't evangelicals generally been the best friends of Israel and persons perceived to be Jewish? Then please explain the recent filthy, hate-filled, back-stabbing tirades by David Letterman (and Sandra Bernhard and Kathy Griffin) against a leading evangelical named Sarah Palin, and explain why most Jewish leaders have seemingly condoned Palin's continuing "crucifixion"!
While David, Sandra, and Kathy are tragically turning comedy into tragedy, they are also helping to speed up and fulfill the Final Holocaust a la Zechariah and Malachi, thus helping to make the Bible even more believable!
