Lesbian On High Court?

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, get ready for company!
There could soon be an openly lesbian woman on the United States Supreme Court.
ABC's Good Morning America reported this morning that two lesbian Stanford Law School professors are in the running to replace U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter, who is retiring the end of June.
They are law professors Kathleen Sullivan (right) and Pamela Karlan (left).
It is known that gay and lesbian interests have not been altogether happy with Obama thus far and have been anxious to enjoy the spoils of his victory. They have been clamoring for some significant recognition for all their hard work on behalf of Dear Leader.
A high court appointment for one of their own would represent the greatest expression of indebtedness from the President to the gay and lesbian community and would conceivably get him off the hook with gays and lesbians for now.
The New York Times and the National Journal even place Sullivan on a “short list.”
The online political magazine Politico reports that Karlan is also in the running.
Gay and lesbian advocacy groups are encouraging Obama to appoint such a person to the nation’s highest court.
Many in the gay and lesbian community are disappointed with Obama for not fully endorsing gay marriage.
A high court appointment could help to settle the score.
Sullivan, 53, is Stanford’s Stanley Morrison Professor of Law. She served for four years as the school’s dean. She also practices appellate litigation for a California law firm.
Karlan has worked for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and was a clerk to Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun.

Based on their names - Kathleen will have a lot of personality - she'll steal the thunder from many on the court, however she'll be smart, capable and have a good work ethic. She's a competent choice for the justice job. Pamela would ask amazing questions. She'd get to the bottom of every case & not let on what she knows until private deliberations or until she releases her decision. You'll never know what she's thinking or how she'll vote. She loves when she knows more than everyone else around her. She'd surround herself with similarly discreet interns & we'd always have an element of surprise with Pamela.
