Corporate Execs Talk Feelings

From Flash News:
Corporate bigwigs have feelings too, and every now and then they need a pow-wow.
That’s where Shift 180 comes in, a motivational company that helps executives get back on track by exploring what truly makes them happy.

They host retreats for down-and-out execs where “coaches” get them to open up about their feelings and ambitions.

Co-founder John Drury says the group workshops are like pow- wows and include various activities to get execs talking.

For instance, they do an exercise where there are 400 pictures and execs choose the 10 that most reflect things that make them happy.

Drury says this usually reveals their real passion.

He explains, “If half of their pictures have to do with nature and they work in New York City, they’re probably not happy. They should reconnect with nature.”

Drury says one’s personal life is directly linked to their professional life, so if it’s lacking, business will too.
