Missing Dog Travels 1,000mi.

From Shannon McGregor of AHN:
A Florida woman's dog that went missing from her home three years ago was found over 1,000 miles away in Louisiana.
Barbara Apostolo said her Jack Russell terrier, ToBoi, ran away from her home three years ago, and she's no clues to her dog's whereabouts until she was contacted by a Louisiana animal shelter two weeks ago, a local TV station, WPLG-TV reported.
Shelter employees got her contact information from the dog's microchip. Apostolo said she has no idea how ToBoi made the trek half way across the country, UPI reported.
ToBoi was reunited with her owner at Florida's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. "She reminds me of three years ago, how things were when I first got her there,"Apostolo said.

It just goes to show why we should all have our pets microchipped!

So glad she got her dog back, even after all those years.

Thanks, Mina.
We appreciate your comments and observations.
BTW: I can think of a few humans I'd like to have microchipped but for now I suppose we'll have to simply hope their cell phones are "on" or rely on GPS.
